Every girl dreams of being a princess on her fairytale wedding day. As we grow up though, we are made to believe that these fairytales don’t exist. However, Burj Al Arab would certainly beg to differ.

The Burj Al Arab Terrace, opened on May 25, 2016 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, hosted its first wedding last December, at the union of Shruti and Vivek. This wedding was no small affair; the terrace, which is the first man-made luxury beach facility of its kind, costs Dh 1,800 on weekdays, and Dh 2,200 on weekends.
The theme for the wedding was fairytale, with flowers, fairy lights, crystals and artificial clouds in pink, white and gold throughout the enchanting venue, ultimately guiding the couple to an ethereal gazebo where they tied the knot.
For the wedding, Shruti looked stunning in a Indo-European fusion by Hazar Haute Couture. The pale pink saree-gown was paired with a necklace and chandelier earrings from Aljazz Jewelry and her favorite pair of Manolo Blahnik heels. Vivek, on the other hand, kept it classic in a three-piece suit.
