Leave it to the Planners!

Planning your wedding may satisfy you on the illusion of personalizing your wedding day according to your needs or the illusion of having a bigger budget for your wedding resources having saved up on hiring a planner. But have you thought this through? Not every task of planning a wedding needs personalization or is as fun as choosing a designer cake. For example, do you really want to spend your limited and valuable time on deciding which transport company will bring your guests to the venue or reviewing vendor contracts?

Wedding planning takes a lot of time. Until and unless you get into the preparation of your Big Day one cannot comprehend the amount of work involved in taking care of each little detail. If you have a busy schedule (work, hobbies, friends) a wedding planner can ease some pressure off your shoulder so you can continue with your daily life instead of putting it on halt. Also, you don’t want to get caught at the workplace planning your wedding during work hours!

Planning a destination wedding? Good Luck, you’ll need it! I can’t fathom the amount of pressure of dealing with your venue hosts abroad. Sure, you can always Whatsapp or make international calls every day. Give it a good think, your phone bills might cover a significant proportion of a planner’s fee and give you peace of mind that your planner covers everything you need. All you need to do is ask your planner to keep you updated at every step of the way. It doesn’t get any easier than this folks!

If you are guided by the misconception that planners take over every aspect of your wedding, you need some clarification. Wedding planners only control the areas you delegate to them, so you may take charge of all the easy and less complicated stuff and leave the technical bit to the planners. Floral arrangements, table set ups, stage decor, sound and lighting may seem easy but in reality these things are the main areas of your wedding and the most difficult to plan! Wedding planners have all the information on which flowers should be used (there are a hundred types of flowers!), which lighting would suit your theme best, and how the tables for the guests should be set. Oh and, since they don’t help out with all the tasks, there is no reason why your planner should charge you anything above your budget. Wedding planners will also work around the budget specified to them and will keep track of the budget sheet. This means that that they will communicate and deal with all the vendors and get you the best possible prices. You don’t need to break your head over every little expense and trust me, there will be many as the wedding day gets closer.

So big wedding or small, do your research well and hire a wedding planner or a wedding coordinator that fits your budget, as this will be one of the best decisions you’ve made!

Lots of love and positive vibes,
