Bling-a-luscious Vienna Wedding!

Every now and then, the media is abuzz with a Big Fat Indian wedding making its mark somewhere in the world. This time, it was the wedding of the owner of clothing label, Esse Vie London, Sonam Vaswani (daughter of Sunil Vaswani, owner of Stallion Group) with Kamal Fabiani’s son Navin in Austria, Vienna. This wedding got the attention of the internet because of the awesome details on display at the wedding.

It was a lavish affair with a lot of Bollywood’s known names in attendance. The wedding guests included Kanika Kapoor, Siddharth Mallya, ace designer Nandita Mahtani, Surily Goel, Suneet Varma, socialites- Sophie Choudry, Natasha Poonawalla, and actors Poonam Dhillon, Neetu and Rishi Kapoor.

The celebrations kicked off over the weekend with a party at Vienna’s Palais Ferstel, which was followed the next morning with a colorful Mehendi ceremony at the city’s Palais Liechtenstein Park, for which the bride Sonam wore a baby pink lehenga with beautiful bloom embroidery by designer Manish Malhotra.

For the cocktail party, Vaswani stepped out in a glittering gold gown paired with emerald jewelry.

For the wedding ceremony at Belvedere Palace, the new Mrs Fabiani went traditional in red and paired it with a choker of uncut diamonds.

Clearly, Manish Malhotra was a favorite choice for the couple and the families, as they were seen in ensembles by him at various occasions.

And that’s not all, to add to the larger than life scale of the wedding, Bruno Mars performed on the engagement, Sonu Nigam sang as the bride made her entrance on the wedding day! Popular Punjabi pop singer of the 90s, Sukhbir, also lent some fun foot-tapping Punjabi numbersfor the crowd to dance on.
